Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved the energy surrounding St. Patrick’s Day. If I am truly honest, I think it was because I always wanted to see a big black pot filled with gold. And I still do! I have even gone so far as to buy some real gold coins, because I love how beautiful they are, and how they feel in my hand when I hold them. I don’t store them in a safe either; they sit in a small pot on my desk, because I like to see them every day. I have no intention of using them as a form of currency because they bring me a sense of joy and magic, and really, that is why most people want more money in their lives. You might think it is the hard cold cash you desire, but in actuality it is the comfort, security and satisfaction that you think money will bring you. There is nothing wrong with that, and I think you should have absolutely anything you want. In fact I think you are entitled to have whatever you desire, and what is more, I don’t think you should have to work or suffer for it. Living an abundant life is part of your Divine Inheritance.
You don’t have to be Irish to wish you could find a rainbow with a big pot of gold underneath it. If you want your life to be filled with more of the abundance and freedom that you think a pot of money will bring you, you have to pay attention to the thoughts you think and the emotions that you feel on a daily basis. What you think and feel has creative and magnetic power and has a big impact on every aspect of your life. Over time, the thoughts that you habitually think become the belief systems that you hold. What starts out as a habit of thought ultimately determines what you believe about who you are and what you are capable of achieving and creating in your life.
Absolutely anything you create is a ratio of what you want, over what you believe is possible. Or, everything that you want is as the famous expression goes, mind over matter. What you want is stored in the energy of your mind in the form of your thoughts and emotions. What you believe is possible is ultimately what you will allow yourself to see touch or experience in some way – which becomes matter. So it is pretty important to pay attention to what you are thinking and feeling about every area of your life today because that part of your mind creates the matter. And that really matters!
You may want to consider the answer to the following questions. Are you spending time doing something that feels meaningful and purposeful to you? Do you feel valued and appreciated? Are you excited about the future and the potential it will bring? What do you dream about? Is there something you are longing to do? Do you feel like you are moving towards your dreams or do you think they are like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, nice to think about but not likely to occur? How do you feel about the relationships in your life? Do you feel uplifted and inspired or drained and tired? Do you like what you see, or is it time to make some changes? If it is time to make some changes, just remember that this requires going inside of you, not outside of you. Look at the people you spend most of your time with every day and ask yourself how are they a reflection of you in some way?
If you have determined that you want to make some changes in your life that is great, because it is natural for you to be constantly changing, expanding and becoming more of who you are. This is the natural order of the universe that we live in, and living in alignment with the natural order is what the energy of success is all about. In fact, it is natural for you to be successful and live a life filled with abundance, love, well-being and more than a little luck of the Irish. Think how magnificent and abundant nature is. It is entirely confident in its ability to create whatever it needs and nature completely expects to be provided for. You are part of nature and the natural order. The same rules that govern the creative and magnetic forces of nature, govern the energy of your life. This means that you have the same abundance and majesty that nature does; you just have not been thought to think of it in those terms. Living an abundant life is a natural consequence of living in alignment with the natural order, and understanding the creative and magnetic power that is stored in what you think and feel.
It is your ability to interpret the energy and feedback of your emotions that enables you to know if you are investing your energy in the people, places and situations that bring you the most love and joy. When you do this, you are naturally connected to the Divine Current of energy that is the source of all creation. Ideally your work is to allow this Divine energy to flow to you and express itself through you in some tangible way, which both you and the world around you can benefit from. It is a process that requires a state of being and allowing, not working and producing. Action is always the last step in the process of creation and in our society there is way too much value placed on making things happen. You have to line your energy up first, before you are inspired to take any action, or the action that you take will not get you the results you are seeking. Once again, this is a process that starts inside of you, not outside of you.
Our obsession with taking action is usually why so many people end up working very hard and not receiving much money. The action you take should be an expression of whatever you personally love to do and experience. When that happens, abundance will flow into all areas of your life, and you won’t feel like you are working for a living. It will feel more like being who you are and resources will flow to you from all sorts of wonderful places that may surprise and delight you.
Consider this quote from Kahlil Gilbran, “Work is love made visible.” Is that what your work feels like to you? If you are considering this whole idea of being instead of doing, you may have to challenge many of your personal belief systems about work, finances, responsibility, your life’s purpose and your self worth. In our society, our net worth tends to be what our self worth revolves around. However, that is not what the Divine values. You are an extension of the Divine Current of energy that is the source of all creation, and the Divine is seeking to expand its capacity to grow in love and joy. That means that when you add to the love and joy in the world, you expand the presence of the Divine. I would say that makes you pretty powerful. Don’t let your belief systems limit what you can create in the world today. Our society needs the beauty and power of your own inner light. Let yourself live a beautiful, majestic, and abundant life that sustains you. You will then be a source of hope and inspiration for so many that seeking that in the world today, and that is worth far more than a big pot of gold.
